Web browsers intermittently not working

Hey I have a problem with my desktop computer.

When browsing the web, my browser will randomly fail to load web pages and it will require a reboot to work again. This happens on both Chrome and IE.

What is weird is that other software requiring an internet connection continues to work, e.g. Skype, Messenger services etc. So it seems to be something to do with the browser, but it affects all of them, not just Chrome. Very weird.

It's also worth noting that the internet continues to work on all of the other computers in the house.

Finally, I've noticed that the computer in question occasionally connects with 'limited or no connectivity' when I turn it on in the morning, and a restart of the router is required to get the computer online.

Any advice?

Thanks

I'd cable it directly to the router for a day to see if this isolates the problem.
