I want to watch DVD's on my PC. I have a DVD drive already installed and the usual Media player etc etc.

What programme do I need to watch normal films on DVD?

Do I just need to get software such as Cyberlink PowerDVD ?

Thanks

Vic

I have found that Windows Media Player will let me watch the pictures but no sound. Could be I haven`t set it up properly.

However I usually watch them with Nero ShowTime which is fine. You could also use Intervideo WinDVD I know that works as well.

Depending on your screen and size of image you watch the playback quality can be a bit rough, not as good as a TV I mean.

Well the best program is PowerDVD but you have to pay for it (try here:) click here.

But for a freebie you could try JetAudio from click here scroll down to the bottom and select JetAudio 6 Basic Download.

I have PowerDVD which came with my DVD burner. But I also use jetaudio because it seems to be able to play anything I throw at it. It also happens to record from the BBC website.
