When I switch on my comp a warning message immediately appears saying that my comp may become unstable, then this message
VxD dynamic link call: NTKERN(01) + 0000331E to "MTRR " service 2

Any help, or pointers in the right direction very much appreciated.

Lozzy, not sure what you mean "unsert". Do you mean reload windows? In which case, won't I lose all my files? (assume you're talking to a bit of a novice)
Thanks for the help.

click here for a description of mttr.dll, that is being called by ntkern.

A common cause of these errors is an updated ATI graphics driver, where the previous version was not fully uninstalled, and the system is looking for non-existent files at startup.
