Wanted: Automatic mp3 file divider.

Windows XP Pro SP3; ASRock 775VM800; Pentium 4; 3GHz; 2Gb RAM

I have a lot of cassette audio books that I would like to listen to on my mp3 player. I can use Golden Records to record them, and Audacity to clean them up, and top & tail them.

The Resulting files are often 30-45 minutes long, which is too long to be convenient.

I know Audacity can be used to split them up, but it is very, very time consuming, and unsuitable for this job. Golden Records can auto-split, based on a noise floor level, but the resultant files vary wildly in length, and once again are unsuitable.

Does anyone know of a free application that will divide, automatically, long mp3 files into shorter, files, of a specified time? For example, split a 45min mp3 file into 5min files, and save them back to a folder, renamed appropriately.
