In a posr elsewhere if you have enough ram it will even run without the HD

Yes, I agree, it's an excellent way to try out a full copy of Linux (complete with the very good OpenOffice suite) and should be a very good way of introducing Linux to the curious without disturbing anything on the hard disk.

Another advantage any virus you may pick up (even linux can get them) dissappears when you reboot.
