I want to split page on word document to write on it on landscape format on both sides of the page, but I cannot find an icon on word to do this

Do you mean that you want to write down the left side of the page and then down the right? If so use columns.

Format - then Columns
icon is two sets four lines

Sounds good.
On table -Insert columns -it is greyed out -can you tell me how to do this please

Which version of Word. This is format columns not under table.

word 2002

Click on the columns button on the standard toolbar it looks like 2 columns of lines. If you hover over the buttons it should tell you what it does.

Did you highlight all the text before trying to format into columns?

  Seth Haniel 12:47 16 Feb 11

mine is same version you click the 'Format' list not the 'Table' list
and the Column toll is under Format

just tried it myself works fine

Are you doing this to create a booklet? If so this technique could give you some page order problems.

Or how about, File > Page Setup
and choose Orientation, Landscape and then in Pages drop down box choose '2 pages per sheet'

(That's in Word 2003, but think it is same for Word 2002)
