Sony Xperia XZ Premium review: Hands-on with the new 4K HDR phone with Motion Eye camera and Snapdr5…
i m new to this forum:) I am planning to buy a Samsung LCD monitor that will provide me with a good picture quality. Read some reviews but was of no help. Could anyone please suggest me a good Samsung LCD monitor that can meet the following requirements?
1) Combines widescreen and multimedia performance
2)1280 x 1024 pixels
3) Ability to do VGA ,DVI-D
Please help and provide me some knowledgeable answers...............
A bit unfriendly.. said was new to the forum.
but agree a better title would heave helped and get the relevent people to look at the thread.
1) not sure what you mean by this
2) all modern lcd monitors should do 1280 x 1024 pixels look for horizontal resolution greater than 1280
3)For inputs look for D sub (Vga) + DVi -D
“Combines widescreen and multimedia performance 1280 x 1024 pixels”
Using 1280 x 1024 pixels on a widescreen will make the display look fat and stretched
You need to use the correct screen resolution on a widescreen monitor
A 20” - 22” widescreen need a Maximum Resolution “1680 X 1050 graphic card
A 17” - 19” widescreen need a Maximum Resolution “1440 X 900” graphic card
If you don’t want to replace your display card buy a normal 19” / 22” square monitor that will show
1280 x 1024 pixels not a Widescreen
Look at this Samsung
SAMSUNG SM2032MW PEBBLE 20 TFT

Tuner Sync Type Separate H/V, Composite

Tuner HDTV Ready. Built in PAL Tuner. Composite S-Video, Component, HDMI, SCART.
PIP/PBP. Supporting 1080P Input
17/10/07 I bought a Samsung SM226BW.
A 22" Wide Screen,
brilliant display contrast ratio 3000:1
and very competetive figures all across the specification.
Choice of analogue/digital connection, both leads supplied.
Novatech's price is up slightly on the £199.99 I paid
One snag. The stand is fixed. No height or angle adjustment.
PS there is now it seems an adjustable wall mount.
You could make a nice smart/polished wooden stand angled and at the required hight :-))
Hi leonaeastwood welcome to the forum.
I have provided below a couple of links that should allow you to find a Samsung monitor to your liking. You will notice on the site of the first link that the monitors etc have gold stars next to them, clicking on these will show user reviews from people who own them, you will also be able to see the specs for them.
The second link is to a site that has reviews on lots and lots of different things, I have found this site extremely useful and has helped me to decide on several occasions. Basically you just enter the type of thing you are looking for (LCD monitor), and any reviews will be shown.
