Want to change BIOS settings: monitor "no signal"

I need to change the BIOS settings on my Dell and would expect to be able to do this when I turn on the computer and pressing F2 during booting up.

However my monitor says no signal when I turn the computer on and doesn't start working until the Windows screen has loaded.

I know this hasn't always been the case and in the past I've been able to go into BIOS settings when the Dell logo appears. But despite everything I've tried, now I can't get a signal before Windows loads.

Any ideas on what would be causing this?

Thanks.

Maybe Ram or Graphics:

Reseat your Ram,if you have a graphics card..check this has not worked loose and reseat this also.
