I have wanadoo broadband with an ADSL modem. I wnt to connect another PC. It is at a bit of a distance but are wired routers better/much cheaper or should i pick a wireless router?

How far away is "a bit of a distance".

Both options have distance limits.

Its only about 30ft but am happy to deal with the wires if that is the better option.

at that distance there's no problem with either - unless you live in a castle and the 30ft includes a 6ft thick wall! My preference is for wireless - which gives you more freedom and flexibility.

Set up a wireless network around 18mths ago on a cheap as chips wireless B router/Modem it now handles
2 PS2's, 1PSP, 3 laptops wireless, plus one desktop wired. would not want to go any others way. and you can always get great advice, tips from the forum
