Can anyone clarify that I'm ok.
My Norton found 2 emails coming in were infected with the nasty & hence were Quarantined.
Now I am correct am I not, in assuming that if I just delete the infected items from Nortons quarantine, turn off System restore & reboot everything will be hunkidori?!
Or, do I actually have to go through the removal procedure with the removal tool from Symantic website?
I think not coz were found on incoming email & not 'within pc files' as it were during a virus scan.
Ta.

If Norton found the virus and quarantined it then you only need to delete it from the quarantine store. It isn't necessary to turn off System restore, you only need to purge the restore folder if the virus has actually been present on your system. Norton stopped it so it shouldn't be on the system.
You could play safe and run a virus check after emptying the quarantine store.

Thanks for your help.
Funny thing was after I'd downloaded my emails this morning I was gonna run a scan of system anyway!
