w32/alemod.c.dll virus

Hi I am new to all this and McAfee says I have this w32/alemod.c.dll virus but it will neither quarantine or delete it Please help. Thanks paul

it may be backed up in system restore if you are using xp

turn off system restore and rescan

links playing about to turn off system restore

Right click my computer

Select properties

Select system restore tab at top

click on turn off system restore box to add a check mark

Click Apply then ok

to turn back on again after scanning follow above procedure and remove the check mark

then apply ok
