VXDMON.cfg file : Windows Restore function file ?

I used Symantec computer check for virus' and
Trojans etc. I was following up the suggestions made after the test and noticed my VXdmon.cfg file which is in the C:\_restore\temp directory
appears to have suddenly started being updated
every couple of minutes ! Prior to today it was hardly updated for the last 2 years ! I'm using Windows Me

Anyone figure what is going on here.

p.s anyone come across a Trojan with a file name
A0434933 or DC1080.exe

It is not flagged up by Zone Alarm as attempting to send anything out but i'd like to have anyone's informed opinion on this.

A0434933 would appear to be A Data Miner Comment. Installing and running Adaware should clear the problem.

It is Spyware and you need to remove it.
click here for the Download site if you do not have Lavasoft Adaware
