Hi guys,

im trying to sort out why i can't see and computers on the network via VPN. i can ping both servers and receive 4 packets sent etc but when i try to use remote desktop ie mstsc.exe i get no joy !!! DNS picks it up so it aint that. also ive try turning off the firewall on the laptop and i still get the same error on or off ! im using win7.

anyone had this strange problem before ?

Kind regards

James

by the way, seven of the other machines can connect to the network via VPN, and they are all using win7

with the same settings as i have.

just a note to add, the virus checker as been uninstalled and i still get the same problem.

im staring to think maybe it's hardware issues within my notebook ?

here's the settings;

Notebook

Manufacture Samsung Electronics

Intel (R) CPU N450 @ 1.66GHz 1.67Ghz
Gram 1.00GB

32 Bit OS

Win 7 Home 32 bit Version

Also another note to add. within VNP on CMD line there's no Default Gateway ? would that be the main problem why i can't see anyone on the network ?

but the question is ! if the gateway is 0.0.0.0. i would not be able to ping the network right ?
