Volume Label

I have a new machine XP Pro. It has two hard disks and the D is Fat 32. I want to convert it to nfts I go thru the cmd prompt it accepts but then asks me for the volume label for the drive.
Could someone please tell me where to find this, and equally important, what it is.

Right click on the disk (within my computer) and choose properties. It may well be that it has none, in which simply press enter when asked for it.

Thanks for the reply. I did as you suggested and just entered at the prompt. Unfortunately it keeps asking for the volume label. In properties it just shows up as 60g hard disk.

Is there no label on the disk within properties? If not, then pressing enter should have done it for you.

Why not give it a label if it has none? Then you will have something to enter.

Thanks again. Can I just call it anything, or just put in its size?

Yes, call it anything you want!

Again. Thank you. I'll give that a shot
