I have read a few articles about voltage regualtors getting very hot and then rendering motherboards useless.. i then saw 2 articles on overclockers.com about people putting heatsinks on them, would i need to do this my spec is;

P4 2.8 800fsb 1mb (Pres)
Zalman 7000a alcu CPU HS
Gigabyte GA-8IPE 1000 Pro2
2x512 ddr400

I dont want to overclock at the moment so would it be advisable to ass heatsinks?

Those articles are : click here and click here

Cheers for any advice

if your system is new and under warranty (which it should be) and not functioning stably then send it back under warranty and get a replacement.

overclocking WILL void any warranty you have as may modding things.

if its working fine in all things you ask of it then leave as is would be my suggestion.

adding case fans may help and shouldny affect any warranty.

add some of these to keep the case cool maybe.
