Voltage for AGP graphics card

I need to increase graphics capabilities on my son's pc to try and keep pace with the games he'd like to play.

I've found a 128Mb AGP card but a note says :

'This model works only with 1.5v motherboards plesae make sure your motherboard
supports 1.5v AGP slot'

Can I check from the screen whether this will work? I have no idea where the booklet that came with the pc is. The pc is about 2 years old and 1.8 Gig.

About AGP and voltages. Most newer mobo's support 1.5v AGP. Look at the pics and look at your agp slot on mobo.

If it's only 2 yrs old it will almost certainly be 1.5v.

What's the card and what games does it need to play?? The graphics chip is much more important than the amount of memory on the card.

You'd probably also benefit from increasing the amount of ram in the pc.
