I've looked everywhere on microsoft's site for advice on an error msg I get when my son's copy of Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom crashes (repeatedly).

The msg reads:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
runtime error
abnormal program termination

I run w98, 128mb Ram, 1Ghz AMD Duron, AVG virus checker and Sygate Firewall.

Any advice would be welcome :)

when u say copy is it a copyed disc?
if yes the disc you copyed it from probaly had hidden files on it so the cd writer missed those file that u need to play

and a c++ means that the scripting is roung somewhere try reinstalling it also check ur windows!
