Vistaargh laptop doesnt recognise admin login password..?

Hi, I have just received my laptop back from repair, two weeks on. After reinserting the hd (which was not given to repair) and a fairly large update of my programs today to cover those two weeks, it refused to accept my login password ("supposedly incorrect") until the 5th or 6th attempt. This is the first time that this has ever happened, so I am curious as to why-if anyone has a rough idea or has had this happen to them before on any windows system? The laptop repair was due to a broken power jack on the motherboard, and nothing to do with the hd. I have removed the admin password (it was never really needed in this household anyway) and added a guest account, just to be safe in the meantime. I no longer trust using an admin password on vista, and windows in general.

It is now working for you - why it took several attempts to do it I can't answer that one - but a LINK here for the future link text
