VISTA windows update help


When I choose windows update from start menu in Vista (64bit)

A window comes up blank then closes down really fast . I cant do anything wont check for updates etc. So I am not sure if it is updating or checking..

Restore point was a waste of time to.. Cant go back no further then oct 30th and ive done that..

Can anyone help please?

Have you tried going to Windows Update by opening the internet using IE and then selecting Windows Update from the tools drop down menu on the task bar at the top of the screen?

Yes i have done all that I did a system restore and it asked to do a repair thing clicked that messed about for about 5 mins restarted twice now it works and am in business
