Vista to win7

I installed win 7 over Vista and all went ok and I deleted win old to get rid of vista.
Now when I boot up the screen asks whether I want to boot 7 or Vista and whichever I choose it boots into 7.
There is no sign of Vista on the hard drive.
Can anyone tell me how I can get rid of the option to boot vista because the dual boot option is not compatable with some of my programmes.
Be grateful for any help.

In Vista should be the same in Win7 go to Control panel/Administrative tools/System configuration go to boot tab highlight Vista and delete.
