Vista wifi - intermittent net access

  kjrider 12:48 10 Jan 08

Hi there

Have had my Vista laptop for about 6 weeks. I use my home wifi to access the internet, and our local net with the desktop PC, using XP Pro to use the printers, etc.

Some times when I boot up, it will not access the internet, and comes up with only 'Local' access instesed of 'Local and Internet' and sometimes does not get to the local net.

Nothing has been changed, and I am using the laptop in the same place, in sight of the wifi router.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi there

It's not an Acer laptop is it? Only ask as I have a similar problem and posted here this morning

No - its an E-machine laptop from PCW. I wonder if its a function of Vista.

After doing 'refresh' on Network, several times, it did connect, to my network, after about 5 minutes.
