Vista - standard account automatically elevated

I ran into a problem and hope someone can help me.

My desktop is a Dell running Vista Home Premium(64bits), I set up an account for my son as a standard user, however, I noticed that his account was automatically changed to Administrator from time to time. Each time when I reset it back to Standard, it always changed back before long(a few hours later or the next day). I wanted to set up parent control on his account, but it won't work as one cannot set up parent control on an Administrator account. I run a virus scan (using Avira) and found nothing. I deleted his account and created a new one, it worked for a few days but the same problem returned again. I used the Activity Viewer to see what happened, in 'Changes to Settings', I saw that his account was elevated by SYSTEM and then parent control was set to off. Can anyone kindly help? It drives me mad.

Thanks in advance.
