I am keen to purchase a new pc budget circa £1000. Too vista or not to vista is the question. I currently run Microsoft Office Pro 2000. Has anyone experience of using this with Vista. If it doesn't wok i will but new machine with XP

If you look at this and other forums I think that there are still too many bugs.
I am waiting until at least S/P 1.

Good Luck

I recently upgraded my 4 year old PC. Mainly new h/drives, but also an increase in ram now, 2gb. At this time I also installed Vista Ultimate.

This is running very well with no problems whatsoever. My main software being Adobe PS CS2 and Adobe Lightroom. My version of office, is Office XP Proffessional version 2002.

All my old photo related software also works without any problem. I did not install Roxio or any back-up software, as I find the Vista alternatives to be satisfactory for my purpose.
