i have a very nice new laptop(vista), which is an upgrade to my older one(xp),

the thing is i think the slower one is faster than the newer one because it had xp. especially noticable with games

how much perfomance loss do you get with vista, it seems very noticable with vista?

Hi AL

My old laptop was a cheep Fuji with XP Home and was a flyer compared to this more expensive Tosh.

I have had three attempts to re-format the HDD and ended up with the blue screen of death. I have been thinking of trying the readyboost facility, but can't see USB being as fast as regular RAM.
