Is Vista itself, or any of its programmes (Calculator, Windows Explorer, etc) based on .NET?

.NET Framework 3.0 is included with Vista and is required to run and develop managed applications.

BBez - thanks for your reply. I had a look at your links, but it's still not clear to me if Vista itself requires .NET to run. I'd already heard that .NET would ship with Vista, but that in itself does not mean that Vista itself needs it.
