I'm trying to talk my daughter, who's at the other end of the country, through a process on her Vista laptop from my XP PC.

She needs to un-install a program and I can't quite remember the route to get to that process in Vista.

In XP I go to Control Panel; Add or Remove Programs. When the list of installed programs pops up in XP, I highlight that program and click 'Remove' at the right-hand side.

Can members please remind me of the process in Vista?

Add/Remove Programs in Windows Vista

1. Click Start and choose Control Panel,

2. In Control Panel double click on the "Programs and Features" icon.

3. Here you can find all the programs and items which are installed in Windows Vista.

4. To remove any of them click once on the program you want to uninstall and then click on Uninstall/Change and follow the prompts.
