I need to reinstall Vista Home Premium as it recently a number of files have been corrupted but I have no CD. Problem isI bought the PC from Iqon three years ago who have now gone out of business. I have all the authentic stickers with the authorised codes etc. Would Microsoft supply a disc. I want to install without effecting any of my files too. Thanks for any assistance

OK I can only get hold of the ultimate version and when it starts it gives me th eoption of installing either the x86 ver or the x64 ver, I'm running 32 bit home ver so will it install home only? Also will it repair rather than overwrite all my files?

a) As you switch your PC on, tap the F10 button repeatedly. This will launch the iQon System Recovery.
b) A screen will be displayed with 3 options.
c) Select "System Recovery-Quick Format" option. This will format the Hard Drive, and re-install Windows XP back to the factory-shipped default image.
d) The recovery will take about 10mins, once recovery is completed you will be prompted to re-start your computer.

tHIS WILL DELETE ALL YOU FILES AND RESTORE IT TO THE DAY YOU BOUGHT IT

BACK UP EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO AND EXTERNAL SOURCE BEFORE DOING THIS.
