Vista boot menu disappeared

My Vista boot menu has completely disappeared so I cannot boot into Vista or any of my other operating systems which were on a second boot menu stored in XP.

I did a system restore point in Vista shortly before it disappeared. But since I cannot access Safe Mode until after the boot menus appear I cannot boot into Safe Mode to select the Restore Point.

I've heard there is a way of doing it with a Linu boot disc instead but cannot find it anywhere on Google. Can anyone help me get my boot menu back?

If you are running Multi Boot then you need to get a Free Boot Manager that will load from a Floppy disc
