can anybody please tell me is it possible to install unbuntu on the same computer has vista
ie: do i have to install unbuntu first or can i just partition the hdd with vista on. then install unbuntu any hints whould be a great help

It would be a good idea to run the live cd first on the vista machine.
At least you will know if any hardware isues exist.

I would always recommend trying the live cd first.

My apologies if you have already tried this.

hi all
well i followed the above links
and within 13mins or so i was up and running unbuntu.
did all the updates. downloaded and installed in less then 8 mins
although it will take me a bit of time to get used to it i already like what i see
so thanks once again

If you are fed up with windows virus you can [url="click here"]install ubuntu[/url] and add software like office 2007, nero, ares, adobe reader, fireworks and so on. Even you can install a Windows 7 theme.
