viruses - personal email and company email

sorry - i'm sure i'll make this sound more complicated than it is.

work has 25 pc's linked via network. we have anti-virus protection on server and also on each individual pc. i check each day and download the latest anti-virus updates which i email round for each staff to install on their pcs. so far, so good.

if staff access their own personal emails eg through yahoo, as opposed to company emails, will those personal emails be protected by the anti-virus on our server and the anti-virus on our pcs. i say yes (i don't see why they wouldn't be) but work wanted me to double check.

many thanks

Yes, as long as the staff DO update virus defs.
