hi can anyone help me to get rid of the virusbuster from my pc - i have tried the following:-

1. removed programme.
2. Norton scan.
3. Norton scan on safe mode with restore off.
4. Spy bot search and destroy.
5. Adaware.
6. Aol spy ware remover.

i keep getting an icon warning me of critical errors and when i click on internet exployer i get virusbuster page.

using windows xp prof. sp2.

Try a system restore to before the infection...

thanks for the link vog i tried the virusbuster removal instructions downloaded them 2 files. then c:\windows\system32 but cannot locate the file called eowygj.dll

i have now removed virusbuster from task bar so i do not have the icon alerting me of critical systems error. but if i use internet i get a page called safeiepage.com instead of msn homepage.

hi vog, i ran prevx1 and its gone, or am i speaking to soon.

thers no pop critical error pop ups nor safeiepage on my browser.

i see previx1 is one month trial would that mean after the month it will come up again.

- no. It just means that Prevx1 will cease to work after a month. Hopefully the infection has now gone.
