Virus takeover browswers

A weird virus has taken over my pc slowing it down and eliminating access to certain websites-I can no longer use Firefox or Chrome

IE is limping along (but it excludes Google ,Firefox etc. (saying common websites are unavailable non existent)

There are two error messages:

on login 0x8009605 I've been ignoring that as it didn't seem to have a great deal of effect.

The other is 0x80096001.

I tried to download a number of fixes but IE is rejecting the downloads with the message :

The signature of this programme is corrupt or invalid.

These fixes are from Microsoft itself so I cant understand this at all.

Ideas?

Try starting Internet Explorer from the 'run' command, open 'run' and type iexplore -extoff (or copy and paste). This will open IE with no add-ons. See if you can download adwcleaner and run it.

Pity I missed your Post dated March 3, 2015 at 9:37PM as you could have run ADW from a flash drive downloaded from another PC.
