Hello.

We are a training centre with over 100 trainees. We have a Windows 2000 server with thirty workstations clients running windows 2000 and office xp, outlook express for e-mail, No mail Server.

We are looking for a full virus scanning setup to run across the network. Any suggestions for a good cost effective solution? Not McAfee.

Cheers

Nod32 click here has the best record on Virus Bulletin tests click here
I use and frequently recommend the free version of avast4 for home use, the full commercial version has more features, unfortunately the small business server edition click here is running a bit late and not available yet, but will be worth looking at.

Sophos click here is perhaps best for this. You can set up a sever that will then push out the AV to every other PC on the network making sure they are all always up-to-date.

I always recommend (and use) NOD32. Simply the best record in professional testing.

While avast 4 server isn't ready, it's predecessor avast32 3.0 is still available, though not to my mind as good click here and click here for info.

Throw my hat in and recommend Symantec Corporate Edition - lots of permutations and combinations
