I have a small home network made up of 2 desktops connected wirelessly to another pc that connects via ethernet cable to a router/modem that in turn has a broadband connection, if I install anti virus software on the main pc will this be sufficient to protect the other desktops if they are surfing the internet?

You are better loading the AV on all computer if they are only used in your own home.

Hi, I have a similar set-up to yours. I have AVG on each pc - better to be safe than sorry.

Cheers.

Remembering that the free non profit home user license is one copy only, if you want to stick to the letter of the law, you can use different free AV packages on seperate networked PCs, avast! click here , AVG click here , Antivir click here and Bitdefender click here would provide enough cover.
