Hi, My partners son borrowed her Fujitsu laptop and it now displays a strange image on the 'general' tab of system properties with the words "hello, switch to mac" where the Fujitsu logo used to be, he says he knows nothing about it and windoze defender and avast anti virus can not find anything, is there any simple way to restore this or will it need the recovery disk, the 'scroll' button on the touch-pad has also stopped working.

Best to state at outset, it will not cause a problem - someone changed the file.

You need to look in c:\windows\system32 for
OEMINFO.INI. If you rename this file to .old, the
logo will go away. You can also edit the file; The format of the file is as follows:

[general]
Manufacturer=Some Manufacturer Name

[Support Information]
Line1=For Technical Support contact:
Line2=
Line3=Manufacturer service dept

To remove the logo simply delete the file OEMLOGO.BMP in Windows\System32
If you want to replace it with one of your own, create an image 172x172 pixels, and save it to the system32 folder as oemlogo.bmp

Thanks, got rid of all that and even found a replacement logo from the Fujitsu ad at the bottom of this page.
