Virus Advice

AVG found a Trojan Horse Virus PSW.Tofger.2.y in my system files.
After running avg it said the virus was removed by healing and there was no virus on my hard drive.
As I am running Win ME I enable my system restore and run avg again, which found the virus again in the C:\-restore\temp\-- file.
AVG was unable to remove the virus from this file and says I still have a virus on my hard drive.

As an experiment I then disabled the ME System Restore and run AVG again, now I am virus free!says avg.

Has anyone out there got any Idea where this virus has gone to?

By deleting the restore files you will have deleted the virus. System restore files cannot be accessed by any AV as a protection. The virus code will have been changed so that the virus is inoperable and is just 0's and 1's. You need not worry about it.
