I noticed today that some of my desktop icons have changed. I use avast antivirus and this is now not working. it comes up with an error '87 = the parameter is incorrect' The problem is a new version downloaded yesterday so it could be a corrupt update (or not). The icons that have change are: Internet explorer, outlook, speedtouch conection and show desktop. What do you think? a virus or something less sinister?
Did an online scan and there was a virus (TFTP1) Avast, a normally great program, was not working due to the latest version not being compatible with the beta version of service pack 2. Thanks Rawprawn and Sorof for your help. Gary
