I recently obtained this Virus/worm... whatever:

It could not be cleaned and needed to be deleted.
It could not be deleted because it was "in use"!!
I tracked it down to a file in Windows/System called 'webcheck'.
My question is was the file 'Webcheck'an important file or had it been created by the intruder?

In my experience files that cannot be deleted because they are "in use" can be removed from the processes box after you press CTRL + ALT + DEL. Then you can delete the file in question. I have not heard of this virus before or the 'webcheck' process.

You could try asking someone else that has your specific operating system if they have that file and if they don not it was probably created by an intruder.

I did cancel the process and did delete the file.
I am using XPpro.
It was TrendMicro which identified the bug and I am heading there now.
