When Windows Installer finishes Office 2000 Setup, it executes Reboot.exe
(included on the Office 2000 Resource Kit CD) on Windows 9x computers.
Reboot.exe is set up so that it disables automatic shutdown and restart of
Windows and only reboots if the Office installation is successful. This
process
is mainly used when installing MS Office in a server environment.

Thanks spikey chris I take it that its not dangerous then?

Just to elaborate, Reboot.exe could be automatic re-booting procedure left over
from installing a program, in this case it can be deleted. There
is also a possibility it was placed there by a virus, so if you have rebooted since then no harm will come from deleting it.

Yes I have rebooted since I quarantined the file so I will delete it Thanks for explaining it for me sorry to ask simple questions but I'm fairly new to computing thanks again Tom >>>
