I have just defrag may C drive. Before doing so I unticked no paging file. The only problem now is that I have forgotten how it was set before no paging file unticked. Please can anyone help me. I have a 100GB hard drive with 1GB memory. On my C drive I have space available 38955MB. I am supposed to tick custom and enter the intial size and maz size, but I don't know what to put in as figures, or do I select system managed size.

Go with 2048mb for min and max.

It's a contentious subject and everyone has their own opinion. It's not so important as it was in the past - XP is pretty good at RAM management.
