virtual memory issue

I read in the last issue of PC Adviser that a reader was having a problem with her virtual memory. I have the same problem, I have custom set my virtual memory to 1000mb but XP still alerts me that there is a virtual memory low problem and increases the size of the memory to 400+ mb when I have already increased the size to well above this amount. I have returned the setting to be handle by windows and it is set at 383mb and I am still recieving the messages. What else can I do? I don't know if this means anything, but my radeon 9200 graphics card seems to have two drivers installed, one is 9200 and the other is 9200se, could this be causing the problem?

I am aware that when you select this amount of virtual memroy there is a button you have to press to set it or it wont stay at that amount.

This button should reset your machine with the new settings.
