Virgin Migration

Just had bad experience doing first migration ever from Pipex to Virgin. I was told on the phone at Virgin.net I would have to go to Pay As You Go for the time it would take to sign me over (up to 30days). Second phone call to speak to different technician told me that I should never had been advised to do such a thing. I am annoyed to think that Migration is made out to be so simple yet I could have ended up closing my Pipex account which would have rendered Migration impossible and I would have been paying expensive connection fees into the bargain.

Beware!

Are you talking about switching to a broadband connection from Virgin?

If so the information was probably provided by someone who may have thought you had no ISP and was offering a means to get online in the meantime; setting up a dialup account can be up and running in the time it takes to pass on your personal details and telephone number.

However, Pipex is a high reputable and very experienced business and domestic ISP and I'm surprised you even wished to change.
