i've recently switched to virgin broadband

is there any way i could go wireless without spending a lot of money ???

you need a wireless DSL (cable) router, and if your pc isn't already wireless enabled, a wireless adapter (pci for desktops, pcmcia for laptops, or usb for either)

Is this Virgin cable or over a BT line? If the latter you may need a combined modem/router.

ive got a wireless lpbut i could run ma desktop though blue cable ??

yes, you can wire up the desktop to the router and have the lappy communicate wirelessly. easier initial setup via the wired pc too.
