Viewing PowerPoint presentations through my TV

I have a presentation on DVD which I would like to show it on my domestic TV using my DVD player/recorder but when I attempt to do so I get the message “unknown format” Is it possible to do this and if so, what am I doing wrong?
The presentation is recorded on the DVD as data using Nero 6. My computer is at he other end of the house.

I might be wrong, but why not try to burn the show as VCD or SVCD and unless you have an old DVD player hooked to your TV you should be able to play it. The newer DVD players, but not all, can read SVCD. This is a cost free way to do it...providing of course it works. But if it does not work, you will have only wasted on CD.
