do you have a graphics card with tv out? what operating system on laptop etc, what sort of tv do you wish to connect to?

The majority of laptops have the means to display on a TV, monitor etc.

Most likely you will have jackplug outlets (yellow for video and red or red and white for audio).

The manual should provide a description of the leads required.

As Stuartli has suggested look at your manual if its a fairly recent laptop then chances are theres a connector for doing just that.

You could also depending on the make/model have a look on the manufacturers website for accessories they may have the connector you need there, have to point out it'll probably be cheaper looking there to see what you need and buying elsewhere are its probably expensive from the manufacturer.

If you get stuck post the make and model of your laptop and I'm sure someone will steer you in the right direction.
