Viewing folders with 'Details' view

When viewing my 'Windows Explorer' folders, I want all my folders (except Pictures) to open with the 'Details' view.

Currently they are opening with 'Icon' view.

Apart from individually changing the settings of every single folder one by one, is there a quick way to achieve that?

In each area, (my pic, my docs etc) go to View and select details. All the files in the area chosen will change.

Or tick in View > Apply to all Folders. Then change the one that you want to display differently.

anskyber - Some of the sub-folders retained the 'Icon' setting.

I have also tried 'Properties - customize - Documents (for any file type)' and ticked 'Also apply this template to all sub-folders' - APPLY - OK

and still some folders retain the 'Icon' status.

Vog - I cannot find where it says 'Apply to all Folders' in 'View'
