Viewing certain sites in IE not right!

Morning all !

Father Christmas was good to me - brought me an Acer Ferrari laptop :-)

A problem that I've not come across before concerns viewing certain sites in IE.

The problem is that when viewing full screen the site is scrunched up on the left side with parts of text, menus etc overlapping.

Viewing the same site on the other laptop in the house has no such problem and site looks and acts normally.

Am i missing something re settings?

Sorry to be so long in replying.

Java was not installed but is now , however the problem still exists!

Text and menus overlapping can be due to the text size being set too large - View - Text Size - Medium should be correct.

Sites which look too much on the left can be due to sites set to a significantly lower resolution than your screen uses. Is the new laptop screen a higher res than your old one?

Thanks DieSse but that isnt it.

Settings for resolution on the new laptop make no difference.

I am ticking this one although not resolved. Will just have to sit down with the both of them side by side and do some comparisons.
