View Thumbnails Windows 7 Pro

I am trying to set up mu picture folders to show a thumbnail preview. I have read that this only works if you have Aero enabled. Is there a workaround that you can use?

Not sure but you could try,Tools,Folder Options,View,and untick always show icons never thumbnails at the top.

There is no tools menu in any of the Win 7 64 folders

Sussed it out, opened organise in the folder then folder & search options and then unticked always show icons never thumbnails.
