have spent ages trying to put mini DV onto DVD, have finally managed to capture this to the PC and it looks ok, but when I replay what I have captured, it is pixelated and of poor definition as if the film is of a low resolution. Looks like I need to be changing some settings somewhere but cant see where! When it is burnt to DVD it remains of poor quality
Where do I go from here?

If that doesn't help the support from Easycap is good.

If not it could be your camera/tapes that are at fault.

Just got one of these gadgets myself, had some intials probs installing but got there in the end, first try at capturing picture was C~~~~p, then found out it is best to set it for DVD rather than MPEG, now seems ok
