Video 'scrambled' when accessing a particular site

When I arrive on the site click here the video on my monitor goes bonkers and my pc crashes!
The monitor gets divided into 4 evenly spaced vertical bands, each showing the left-hand quarter of what should be there. In other words, the left hand quarter of the screen is repeated four times!

I'm arriving at the site (Centre for Renewable Energy) via a BBC link; click here

I've hard re-booted and returned to the site 6 times (via BBC site or my favourites) and it happens every time! The one time it didn't happen was when I typed the URL into the browser address bar

I'm using W98, IE 6.0.2800 and AVG antivirus which is up to date.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
